A musical pathway through the parks and along the streets of Moston & Harpurhey
We have created a route that starts and finishes at the entrance to FC United on Lightbowne Road and passes through Broadhurst Park, along Kenyon Lane and Moston Lane and through Boggart Hole Clough.
The route is now transformed into a musical journey - a Sound Path. Composer Yoni Collier and app developers Echoes.xyz, with the help of local musicians, sound artists and members of the Moston and Harpurhey community, have produced a musical score inside an app that plays music, sounds and voices specific to your location.
This map contains detailed descriptions of the route with directions and photographs to show you the way. Print versions are also available to download below. Waymarker signs have been placed along the route to make it easier to follow.

He is currently working towards a practice-based PhD, examining how location-based recording, musical performance and production can be used as tools for examining artistic practice, landscape and history.

Our environment. Our mental health. Our collaboration. Manchester & The Netherlands.
Soundpaths is part of MINDSCAPES; a collaboration between cultural institutions in Manchester and The Netherlands. This two-year programme challenges artists to explore the ways in which our surroundings can be a cause of social alienation, anxiety and depression, but also, how we can find solace and support in the world around us.
